Dr. Kellie Fowler BVSc Hons
Small Animal Veterinarian 

Kellie joined our Maryborough clinic after graduating in 2010 from the University of Queensland.  Kellie's passion lies with surgery and her skills have gone from strength to strength, successfully tackling tricky orthopaedics and soft tissue surgeries routinely.Kellie has settled in Maryborough with her two Border Collies, Tilly and Toby the troublesome twosome. 

 

Dr. Sarah Livingstone BVSc Hons
Small Animal Veterinarian

After graduating from University of Queensland 2012,  Sarah completed an internship at the Veterinary Specialist Services before joining us in Feb 2014 bringing a wealth of knowledge and skills with her. Sarah’s passion is internal medicine and ultrasonography.Sarah has recently rescued a little toy poodle called Mac, she also enjoys camping, quilting and crocheting. 

 

Dr. Megan Weller BVSc Hons
Small Animal Veterinarian

In early 2015 after working in her home town of Kingaroy at a local clinic, Megan packed up her lab Baxter and cat Felix and moved to Maryborough to become part of our team. Megan has already had a long career in the industry that started with her becoming a vet nurse then moving onto vet school where she graduated from the University of Queensland in 2012.  She has a passion for preventative medicine and oral surgery.   

 

 

Dr Tatum Watson BVSc
Small & Large Animal Veterinarian

Tatum is a graduate of the University of Queensland and joined Childers Veterinary Surgery in 2013, bringing with her astute surgical and medical skills.  It would be hard to surpass Tatums enthusiasm and empathy for her patients and their families alike. Tatums animal family consists of, Sissy the cheeky Poodle cross, Reggie the rebellious staffy, Shadow the not so slinky feline and Cookie the sweetest DHS you've ever met.  All have been rescued at different times and are great mates now.

Our Nurses

 

Anja Kleigrewe  

Practice Owner/Manager - Cert IV Veterinary Nursing

Anja is a qualified Veterinary Nurse who hails from Germany.  She is the proud owner and practice manager of the Fraser Coast Veterinary Services company.  She has been in the veterinary industry for 25 years, starting out in a progressive practice in Adelaide which grew from a 2 vet 5 nurse clinic into a large veterinary hospital. 

When she is not at work, Anja enjoys horse riding, bush walking and food.  She shares her home with Ellie the naughty husky cross, Thomas the DSH (one of the very first cat adoption cats from 13 years ago), Eileen the kitty, Ben and Bob (two handsome thoroughbred geldings), and Thelma and Louise the sheep.

 

Hana 
Veterinary Nurse - Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing

Hana is a long time local who has been with Walker Street Veterinary Surgery since 2010. She has 3 German Shepherds, Boss Evie and Aria, 2 Ragdolls Bear and Bernie and 1 horse Chevy the Arab. Hana’s passion is in medical and emergency nursing.

 

 

Louise 
Veterinary Nurse - Degree in Zoology

Louise has been with the WSVS since early 2013 and has very quickly become an integral part of the nursing team.  Louise is a hopeless animal lover and a perfectionist, so you couldn't ask for anyone better to care for you pet. 
Louise shares her house with Chloe and Gizmo the two crazy staffies, Jet and Lexie the pussy cats and a snake or two.

 

Nicola
Veterinary Nurse - Currently studying Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing

Nicola is currently studying Veterinary Nursing, and has been working at the Walker Street Veterinary Surgery since early 2013.  She enjoys mountain bike riding, scuba diving, working on cars, and has a keen interest in marine creatures and the ocean. When she isn’t working or eating chocolate, Nicola enjoys spending time with her dog-bear Milo the border collie (who harbors an intense dislike for long grass), Gem the super energetic rescue dog (also a border collie), and Sharky the small grey felid who has difficulty differentiating between the litter box and a pot plant.  Nicola is also the proud owner of various chickens and Ferdinand the duck.

Kirstie
Veterinary Nurse -  Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing 

Kirstie is a local lass who initially started at the clinic doing work placement for her nursing certificate. Kirstie’s passion for the industry was very apparent right from the start and she soon became a member of our team. She has a giant furbaby called Cooper he is a Great Dane, they are hoping to add another one to the family soon. Kirstie has keen interest in animal behaviour and hopes to further her knowledge in the future. 

Shanell
Veterinary Nurse - Currently studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

Shanell joined out ever expanding team in January 2016, she is currently completing her certificate III in Veterinary Nursing. She may currently be the youngest team member but her menagerie rivals the best of ours, with Scout the Border Collie, 2 Quarter horses Dixie and Pearl, 1 miniature horse Charlie and the Persian cat Skaifey. She is an active member of the Maryborough Pony Club and Burrum District Active Riders, her favourite event is show jumping. Shanell’s passion lies in medical nursing which means taking excellent care of our hospitalised patients.

Tom the Awesome 
Grand Master and Commander of All Things Awesome and Clinic Cat

Tom is a very striking Norwegian Forest Cat who made Walker Street Veterinary Surgery his home in early 2012.  Before that he lived a nomadic lifestyle befitting a handsome tomcat.  He is currently Boss of Everything at Walker Street, and his duties include mousing, stealing staff lunches from the tearoom, and being fawned over by clients. 

He is the proud owner of a large group of humans (all of the staff at Walker Street), all of whom have been put upon this earth to serve him.
